Ever since I was young, I was inspired to be a pediatrician because children bring such joy into the world and their resilience is inspiring. As a hospitalist, I get to work with children at all stages of life and with various medical conditions. I enjoy working with a multidisciplinary team to provide the best possible care for a child. I care deeply about my patients and their families and I believe strongly in communication and teamwork. It is important to me to partner with families to provide the best possible care for their child.
My research interests are varied and include quality improvement, high value care, communication and leadership. I am interested in the way that new payment models are shaping the healthcare system and how the medical team can best communicate with families to provide a collaborative environment where they feel cared for as well.
My background includes several years in healthcare consulting, where I worked in the business side of medicine. This experience gave me an appreciation for the complexity of the overall healthcare system.
In my free time, I love spending time with my husband and daughter. We love Cincinnati and enjoy experiencing all the great things to do around the city. Go Bengals!
