I’m a neonatologist dedicated to caring for the most fragile newborns, including extremely premature infants, babies with complex surgical needs, and those diagnosed with congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH). In the NICU, I combine advanced medical care with a deeply personal commitment to supporting families through some of their hardest moments. Whether I’m coordinating multidisciplinary care or managing the delicate physiology of extreme prematurity, my goal is always to provide precise, compassionate care.
As the Director of Newborn and Perinatal Informatics, I work to improve outcomes through data‑driven innovation. I focus on getting the right information to clinicians exactly when they need it, streamlining workflows, reducing diagnostic delays and using emerging technologies—including artificial intelligence—to accelerate critical interventions for newborns.
A key part of my practice is integrating point‑of‑care ultrasound (POCUS) into neonatal care. I use POCUS to improve diagnostic accuracy and guide real‑time decisions at the bedside, and I’m passionate about teaching others to use this technology to enhance safety and minimize invasive procedures.
Outside the hospital, I find my greatest joy in spending time with my wife and our seven children. Whether we’re learning, exploring or simply enjoying everyday moments together, fatherhood is a source of inspiration that shapes who I am both in and out of the NICU.
