About

Biography

As a cardiovascular genetic counselor, I support patients and families who have concerns about their heart health. My role involves assessing personal and hereditary risk factors, facilitating genetic testing and interpreting genetic test results. I believe that genetic information can empower patients, families and providers to make the best healthcare decisions, and I am here to guide you through each step of that process. I see patients in all stages of life, including pregnant individuals, infants, children and adults.

My approach to care is tailored to each patient and family’s unique needs. I strive to create an accepting and empathetic space where families can explore what genetic information means for their lives.

Before becoming a genetic counselor, I spent more than ten years as a high school chemistry teacher. This gave me valuable experience sharing complex information in a way that feels approachable and meaningful. In addition to my clinical work, I am involved in research focused on genetic counseling and inherited cardiovascular disease.

Outside of work, I love cooking, traveling and spending time outdoors with my family.
