Talia A. Pearl, MD

I specialize in taking care of acutely sick or injured children in the Emergency Department and Urgent Care at Cincinnati Children's. My particular interest lies in supporting children who have survived abuse or neglect, ensuring they receive the appropriate medical care and follow-up they need. Whenever I meet a new patient and their family, I make it a priority to address their specific questions and concerns. I want families to feel prepared and empowered to continue taking care of their child at home. I involve families in medical decision-making, combining my experience and training in pediatrics with their expertise in their own child.

I have wanted to be a doctor since I was young. I sought a career that would be meaningful and make a difference in people's lives, and what could be more meaningful than taking care of someone who is sick or hurt? I fell in love with pediatric medicine during medical school. Children are so resilient, and it is wonderful to see how quickly they can bounce back and recover with the right care. Children are such a joy to work with; they make coming to work fun!

Outside of work, I love being outdoors whenever I can. Some of my favorite activities include hiking, biking, and swimming. I also enjoy reading, lifting weights, learning Spanish, and trying new restaurants around Cincinnati. Traveling, both within the US and internationally, is another passion of mine. I cherish spending quality time with my friends, family, and my two cats.
