I am a clinical fellow specializing in Pediatric Infectious Diseases. I chose Cincinnati Children's for my residency training due the institution's excellent training opportunities in clinical care and groundbreaking research opportunities, and I have decided to continue my fellowship training here for similar reasons. Through my training, I strive to grow as a specialist who collaborates with patients and families to clarify uncertain diagnoses and to develop optimal treatment plans for complex infections.
I am passionate about performing basic science in understudied areas of pediatric health to improve fundamental understanding of host-pathogen interactions. My current research interests include studying pediatric immune responses to vaccination and elucidating the effect of human cytomegalovirus on gene regulation in an organoid model. Through this work, I hope to develop new diagnostic and treatment strategies to improve the lives of our patients.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and infant son. When I'm not meeting the demands of my cute yet opinionated son, I also enjoy running, thrifting and redecorating my house.
