My approach to medicine is rooted in empathy, clarity and a deep respect for the challenges families face. I consider it a privilege to care for children and young adults with congenital heart disease. I believe in building trust through honest communication and guiding families through complex care with compassion and confidence.
My inspiration to become a pediatrician began at a summer camp for children with life-threatening illnesses. Witnessing the resilience and spirit of kids with congenital heart disease inspired me to dedicate my career to this field. Later, during medical school and residency, I was drawn to pediatric cardiology for its intellectual challenge and the opportunity to support families during some of the most impactful moments of their lives.
I’ve been honored to receive the Cardiology Resident of the Year and Emergency Medicine Resident of the Year awards at Cincinnati Children’s. My research focuses on improving how we assess and monitor children with congenital heart disease, with a special interest in using simple tools—like handgrip strength—to better understand cardiopulmonary fitness and long-term outcomes. My goal is to make care more personalized and proactive for every patient.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and staying active through basketball, golf, tennis, and pickleball. I’m also a big fan of Cincinnati sports and enjoy cheering on our local teams.
