About

Biography

I am an instructor of pediatrics and a faculty member in the Division of Bone Marrow Transplantation and Immune Deficiency.

I earned my medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine–Tucson and completed my residency in categorical pediatrics at Washington University in St. Louis–St. Louis Children’s Hospital. I then completed my fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology at Cincinnati Children’s.

My research focuses on the pathologic immune activation that drives post-transplant complications, such as graft-versus-host disease, as well as genomic instability and its phenotypic implications in bone marrow failure syndromes like Fanconi anemia. My goal is to identify novel biomarkers, therapeutic targets and prevention strategies to reduce pre- and post-transplant comorbidities in at-risk patient populations.
