About

Biography

I am a hand surgeon specializing in treating congenital hand differences, hand and wrist trauma, and challenging reconstructive problems.

As a child, I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and received life-changing care at Cincinnati Children's. My personal experience led me to pursue a medical career with a passion for pediatric care. Ultimately, I was drawn to plastic surgery due to the integral role reconstructive surgery offers to heal and restore patients after any number of congenital, traumatic or oncologic conditions.

Everyone, myself included, has experienced the stress, anxiety and frustration that can accompany a routine visit to the doctor's office. I hope to serve as a calming influence to help you and your child feel comfortable in an otherwise daunting system. My goal is to listen to your concerns and discuss them in relation to my expertise and the best clinical evidence available. Together, we can formulate a clear treatment pathway for you and your family.

I’m honored to be a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society. I also serve as a reviewer for the Journal of Hand Surgery and have contributed to several prominent hand and upper extremity surgery textbooks. I was the lead author of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH) Hand Surgery Update VII: Pediatric Hand & Wrist Soft Tissue Injuries.

As a former Division 1 tennis player at Xavier University, I enjoy staying active and working out. Above all, I cherish spending time with my wife and our canine companions, Wally and Mamba.
