About

Biography

I am a board-certified plastic and hand surgeon specializing in pediatric hand and upper extremity care, as well as complex reconstructive surgery. I treat a wide range of conditions - from congenital hand differences and brachial plexus birth injuries to fractures, tendon and nerve injuries, and other challenging problems affecting the hand and wrist. I am also passionate about providing sub-specialized plastic and reconstructive care encompassing complex wounds, masses, vascular malformations, skin lesions and breast reduction surgery.

I completed fellowship training in both hand surgery and pediatric hand and upper extremity surgery, providing highly specialized expertise in caring for children with both common and rare conditions. I am board certified in plastic surgery with subspecialty certification in surgery of the hand.

As a child, I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and received life-changing care at Cincinnati Children’s. That experience shaped my desire to pursue medicine and instilled a deep appreciation for the impact thoughtful, compassionate care can have on a child and their family. I was ultimately drawn to plastic surgery - and subsequently hand surgery - because of its unique ability to restore both function and form after congenital, traumatic or oncologic conditions.

I understand firsthand the stress, uncertainty, and frustration that can come with navigating the medical system. My goal is to serve as a calming, steady presence to help you and your child feel comfortable, informed and supported throughout the process. I prioritize listening carefully to your concerns and working together to develop a clear, evidence-based treatment plan tailored to your child's needs.

I am an active contributor to the field of hand and plastic surgery, with peer-reviewed publications, textbook chapters and national presentations focused on pediatric hand and upper extremity care. I am a reviewer for the Journal of Hand Surgery and have contributed to leading surgical textbooks and educational resources.

Outside of medicine, I am a former Division I tennis player at Xavier University and avid college sports fan. I enjoy staying active, spending time outdoors and most importantly, being with my family.
