I’m a pediatrician at Cincinnati Children’s specializing in neonatal-perinatal medicine. As a neonatal clinical fellow, I care for infants with various medical conditions and complications, including prematurity, congenital anomalies, respiratory distress and more.
During medical school, my research mentors, who were pediatricians specializing in neonatology, inspired me. I was drawn to serving the vulnerable patient population of the neonatal intensive care unit, the multidisciplinary approach to care, and the opportunity to help patients and their families through a challenging phase of life. I work to provide patient-centered care by listening to and partnering with my patients’ caregivers. In addition, I strive to offer culturally sensitive and inclusive care for everyone.
In addition to my clinical interests, I’m committed to research in medical education and the application of education theory to improve learning and, ultimately, patient outcomes. One of the projects I would like to highlight is Assessing the Impact of Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Training Modality on Provider Knowledge and Skills in Simulated Resuscitations with principal investigator Beth Ann Johnson.
Outside the hospital, I spend time with my beautiful wife and two daughters. I enjoy running outdoors with Roebling Runners and Fleet Feet and connecting with friends and my local community.
