About

Biography

My clinical specialty is pediatric gastroenterology, with a focus on pancreatic diseases such as pancreatitis and exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. I employ a stepwise approach that involves both ruling out potential pathologies and ensuring the well-being of my patients by addressing their symptoms concurrently.

I was drawn to pediatrics because of the deep connection and the unwavering dedication of parents in ensuring the health and well-being of their children. Improving a child's health is a collaborative effort between the medical team and parents, and I am committed to working with you to make this happen. I am trilingual and always advocate for the patients under my care.

I am also a proud member of national organizations in the field of pediatric gastroenterology and pancreatology. I am humbled to have received the Amin Tjota Award for Excellence in Pancreatic Research Prize from the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition and the Young Investigator Travel Grant for research of distinction on imaging biomarkers of fibrosis in patients undergoing total pancreatectomy islet auto-transplantation (TPIAT) from the American Pancreatic Association.

As a researcher, I aim to improve the early detection of pancreatic diseases, including markers on imaging of exocrine insufficiency, markers of chronic fibrotic damage to the pancreas, and imaging markers of islet health in patients undergoing TPIAT.

Outside of work, I enjoy weight training, boxing and traveling.
