As a pediatric hospitalist, I specialize in patients requiring admission to the hospital for general health problems. My care philosophy centers around collaboration and empathy. I strive to ensure families feel seen and heard and receive top-notch care while transitioning back to where they are most comfortable as soon as they feel ready. I value transparency and will always be honest with patients and their families and I hope that, in turn, they will do the same with me as their provider.
Seeing disparities in the low-resource area of the country where I'm from inspired me to become a provider. I want to help provide children and their families with the resources and information needed to live their healthiest lives. I cherish that I can provide comfort during some of their scariest times in the hospital.
My research is focused on identifying systems-based issues within hospital settings and working with interdisciplinary teams to alleviate these problems. I’m passionate about healthcare quality and patient safety and believe these are the cornerstones around which we should center pediatric care.
I was honored to be the recipient of the Seymour Warshaw Distinguished Resident of the Year Award, the Excellence in Quality and Safety Award, and the Senior Resident Quality and Safety Award during residency training.
When not at work, I am an avid runner and love to stay active. I’m also a keen reader and supporter of the Cincinnati Public Library.
