I am a clinical fellow specializing in pediatric emergency medicine. My approach to care is highly individualized, as I recognize that families are often at their most vulnerable in our emergency department (ED). I make it a priority to actively listen to the concerns and worries of my patients and their families, providing reassurance when clinically appropriate and acknowledging the stress they experience during these critical moments.
My passion for pediatrics is deeply personal. Growing up on an island with limited access to advanced healthcare, I witnessed the resilience children exhibit daily, which inspired my career.
As a researcher, I focus on the impact of social determinants of health and on patient outcomes in the pediatric emergency department. I am also dedicated to addressing health disparities.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, exploring diverse cuisines, being outdoors and traveling. The United States is the fourth country I have called home.
