About

Biography

I am an advanced practice registered nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). I believe in seeing each baby in the NICU as an individual, with their own plan of care based on their specific needs.

I was drawn to my medical career when I had twins born at 26 weeks gestation. My son had a very long NICU stay in the hospital where he was born, and I saw how the care he received helped him. When I have parents of infants in our NICU at Cincinnati Children’s, I would like them to focus on the family-centered care we provide and how it helps the babies developmentally.

I began my nursing career as a licensed practical nurse, where I was valedictorian of my class. I also graduated at the top of my class in my undergraduate nursing school.

In my free time, I love to read — I read 30 to 60 books a year. I also like riding bikes and playing board games with my children. My husband and I enjoy traveling and cooking together.
