About

Biography

I’m a licensed Certified Genetic Counselor (CGC) at Cincinnati Children's Division of Human Genetics. My roles as lead genetic counselor are focused on inpatient consults, the Hereditary Cancer Program, and the CincyKidsSeq research initiative. My career experience includes a role as senior genetic counselor at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, providing both prenatal genetic counseling and developing the Hereditary Cancer Counseling program. My care approach considers patients first in the family unit and community context, which may help them thrive. I’m passionate about being precise, getting answers and utilizing genetic information to enhance patient care and optimize patient outcomes.

My interest in this work began when I was just five years old. I experienced working with children and families impacted by genetic conditions when I joined my mom's classroom while she worked for the Hamilton County Board of Developmental Disabilities in the early 1980s. I have been blessed to work with hundreds to thousands of amazing families throughout my career. I have decades of professional experience and interest in program development and leadership in hospital-based projects designed to enhance the intersection between public health and genetics.

It has been my honor to have held various work roles and be the recipient of awards and grants, including:
