I am a physician assistant (PA) specializing in emergency medicine and have over two years of experience in acute care. I was honored to receive the “Physician Assistant of the Year” award for my PA graduating class (2021).
The ability to make an impact on the lives of others inspired me to work in healthcare. It’s a unique opportunity to be trusted and relied upon when people are vulnerable. I strongly desire to see people change and improve as a result of my work. This is especially true for children, who are so vulnerable and trusting. Impacting a child’s life now can change their life for the better long-term, as well as the lives of those around them.
My unique approach to patients ensures that they and their families are empowered and confident in their medical care. I believe the famous saying, “If you give a man a fish, he eats for a day, but if you teach a man to fish, he eats for life,” also applies to health care. Our privilege and duty is to teach patients about their bodies and health so they can be successful and feel confident.
In my spare time, I love staying active at the gym, running and exploring the city (especially new spots for coffee!). I grew up in a family of five girls, and our ever-growing family makes up a large part of my heart and who I am.
