Ethan Varner, MD

I am a pediatric primary care physician at Cincinnati Children’s. My approach to patient care centers around teamwork and I believe the best outcomes happen when families and medical staff work together, supporting each child to reach their full potential and grow up happy and healthy. Every family member is an important part of the care team, and I enjoy collaborating with parents to help their children thrive.  

Growing up, I didn’t have any medical professionals in my family and originally thought I’d become a teacher. Along the way, teachers and mentors guided my interests in science toward medicine, and I always knew I wanted to work with kids in some way. That passion for helping children and supporting their growth is what led me to pediatrics.  

Outside of medicine, I love to eat. Whether I’m cooking at home or exploring new restaurants, a good meal is always a highlight for me. I also stay busy and active with my three dogs, and I’m a huge Star Wars fan.
