I’m a Doctor of Physical Therapy specializing in neonatal and acute pediatric physical therapy.
I view everyone as an equal. My goal in life, inside and outside the hospital, is to ensure everyone feels heard, valued and important. I always go the extra mile to ensure every patient receives the best care and compassion possible.
I grew up with a heart for people with disabilities, especially children that are sometimes overlooked or mistreated. In college, I volunteered with a hippotherapy program (physical therapy atop a horse) in Lexington, KY, working with children with chronic disabilities. I watched as the children improved each week, both physically and emotionally. This experience inspired me to become a physical therapist and to make a difference in the lives of children.
After completing my doctorate program, I pursued an advanced-level education and completed a pediatric residency program and a neonatal therapy fellowship. In 2022, I became board certified in pediatric physical therapy to demonstrate my advanced skill set.
I started working with children of all ages but found my greatest passion in caring for infants. I've primarily worked in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and am fulfilling the work I have been called to do. I find joy in every moment of helping these children.
Your child is important to me, and I view each patient as a whole, not just a person I need to try and 'fix.’ I tend to have a lighthearted personality that makes everyone comfortable — I even break out my fun accents sometimes! But know that I am also taking all of your concerns seriously and will do everything in my power to assist your child in achieving their optimal potential.
When I’m not working, I enjoy the outdoors! I love to hike, sit outside and read a book, and watch sunrises and sunsets. The best medicine for me is sunshine!
