About

Biography

I’m Dr. Van Don Williams II, a pediatric hospitalist dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to children who are ill enough to be admitted to the hospital. I also serve as a nursery hospitalist, caring for newly born babies in the newborn nursery. My commitment extends to addressing not only the immediate health needs of each patient but also their overall well-being, including their emotional and social needs.

My care philosophy centers around holistic, patient-centered care that recognizes and respects each patient's individuality. I strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where patients and their families feel heard, valued and empowered to participate in their care decisions. I place a strong emphasis on diversity, equity and inclusion in all aspects of healthcare, ensuring that care is equitable and tailored to each patient's unique needs.

Outside of my professional life, I am a passionate singer who has explored genres such as gospel, jazz, and rhythm and blues (R&B), and I have even branched out into opera. I am also an avid reader of sci-fi/fantasy books, with my favorite authors being Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson.
