About

Biography

I’m a congenital cardiac surgeon dedicated to caring for children with heart conditions. My journey into medicine started early, inspired by my mother, who was a registered nurse. I loved hearing her stories about her patients and the difference she made in their lives. While I initially set out to become a cardiac surgeon, it was my first experience in congenital cardiac surgery during my training at Toronto’s Sick Kids Hospital that truly shaped my career path. Working with children and their families quickly became my passion.

I believe that even though many of my patients are young, it’s important to involve them in their care as much as possible. I listen closely to both children and their parents, working together as a team to make the best decisions for each child’s unique needs. My background includes a PhD in cardiovascular physiology, which has given me a deep understanding of the heart and how to provide the best possible care for my patients.

Outside of the hospital, I’m a car enthusiast—I love everything from sports cars to muscle cars and old classics.
