The Pediatric Surgery Division’s residency program at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is approved by the Residency Review Committee of the American College of Graduate Medical Education.

The two-year training program accepts one new trainee each year. In addition, residents in general surgery rotate to the Cincinnati Children’s Pediatric Surgery Division from the University of Cincinnati; Good Samaritan Hospital, Cincinnati; and Jewish Hospital, Cincinnati.

In addition, medical student education is a significant commitment of the education program. Students in their core course surgical program may rotate onto pediatric surgery, and others electing pediatric surgery as a senior elective also spend time on the surgical service.

The division of Pediatric Surgery also offers a 2 year fellowship. Learn more here.
