Admission Requirements

Applicants should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from an accredited institution
  • GPA of 3.2 or higher (4.0 scale)
  • Strong background in biology and/or biochemistry
  • Previous research experience (preferred)
  • IELTS/Duolingo/TOEFL score (if English is not your first language). For more information visit UC English Requirements.
  • Three or more letters of recommendation
  • No GRE required

Application Timeline

  • September 1 – February 1: Application window open
  • December – January: Interviews (held in Cincinnati; travel covered)
  • February 1: Final deadline (early application encouraged for fullest consideration)
  • July 1: Program start
