Cincinnati Children’s Ranked No. 3 in the Nation in U.S. News Best Children’s Hospitals Rankings

Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center has been ranked third in the nation among all pediatric hospitals by U.S. News & World Report and has once again been included on The Honor Roll, which recognizes the 10 pediatric hospitals across the country with the highest rankings across specialties.

Cincinnati Children’s is ranked No. 1 in the Midwest, which includes Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Missouri, Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska and Kansas.

Cincinnati Children’s also ranked No. 1 in Ohio.

The Best Children’s Hospitals rankings highlight the top 50 pediatric facilities in the nation in 10 specialties. In all, nearly 200 pediatric hospitals were considered.

The national rankings for specialties at Cincinnati Children’s are:

Pulmonology & Lung Surgery 2
Cancer 3
Diabetes & Endocrinology 3
Urology 4
Orthopaedics 5
Nephrology 6
Neurology & Neurosurgery 6
Neonatology 7
*Cardiology & Heart Surgery 16 (Tie)

*Reflects the Joint Heart Program ranking. The Joint Heart Program is a collaboration between Cincinnati Children’s and Kentucky Children’s Hospital, part of UK HealthCare in Lexington.

According to U.S. News, the mission of the Best Children’s Hospitals ranking is to identify hospitals that provide the highest quality care for children with the most serious or complicated medical conditions.
