The new Center for Stem Cell and Organoid Medicine (CuSTOM) at Cincinnati Children’s is a multi-disciplinary team of scientists, clinicians and entrepreneurs using advances in developmental biology and stem cell technologies to revolutionize personalized medicine and improve patient care.
Our world-renowned scientists have developed a way to use stem cells from patients to generate miniature organs, known as organoids. These organoids are a revolutionary platform to understanding disease, developing new personalized treatments and, ultimately, generating tissue for transplantation.
Thanks to a generous matching gift from the Farmer Family Foundation, we’ve established the CuSTOM Accelerator commercialization lab to facilitate clinical translation.
