Helping Children Receive Complex Pharmacy Care at Home

When your child needs ongoing specialty medication, infusion therapy or nutrition support, managing care at home can feel overwhelming. Families often have questions about treatment, supplies and how to safely continue care outside the hospital.

The Home Care Pharmacy team at Cincinnati Children’s helps make that process easier. We work closely with your child’s care team to provide specialty medications, home infusion therapy, total parenteral nutrition (TPN), and enteral nutrition support. Our goal is to help your child receive the treatment they need while staying comfortable at home.

We provide ongoing monthly support to approximately 3,200 patients and partners with specialists across Cincinnati Children’s to help deliver safe, coordinated care.

Our pharmacy teamists works closely with providers across many specialties, including such as allergy, hematology/oncology, genetics, gastroenterology (GI), dermatology, rheumatology, endocrinology, pulmonary medicine, complex care and the Hemophilia Treatment Center. This team-based care helps ensure your child receives one clear treatment plan and coordinated support.

Every child has unique healthcare needs. We provide personalized care plans that support specialty medication therapy, home infusion treatments, TPN and enteral nutrition. Our team works with your child’s providers to help ensure treatments fit their specific needs and goals.
