At 16 years old, years of being "the chubby kid" had resulted in Miranda Taylor wearing a size 24. She was 265 pounds. She was depressed. She was sick of being picked on. And she wanted to change. She found help through the Surgical Weight Loss for Teens program at Cincinnati Children's. A year ago, she had gastric sleeve surgery to make her stomach smaller. Today, she is 17 years old and 101 pounds lighter. She says the surgery was a tool that helped her become the person she always wanted to be.
