Comprehensive ADHD Care, Backed by Research
Leaders in ADHD Research
Our faculty include internationally recognized experts in ADHD across psychology, pediatrics and psychiatry. Their work helps shape how ADHD is understood and treated around the world.
As part of a research-clinical care model, families benefit from care informed by the latest scientific discoveries. Our team leads some of the largest National Institutes of Health (NIH)-funded ADHD treatment studies in the country.
Evidence-Based ADHD Care
We offer many of the most effective ADHD services in one place. Families can access comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, parent education programs, adolescent skills groups and individual or family treatment.
Our team develops a personalized care plan based on your child's symptoms, strengths and goals. We help families understand treatment options and create a clear path forward.
Team-Based Support for Complex Needs
ADHD can affect many parts of a child's life. That is why our specialists work closely with experts across Cincinnati Children’s, including Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Sleep Medicine, Primary Care and other specialty programs.
This team-based care approach helps families receive coordinated recommendations and one clear treatment plan.
Specialized Programs Not Widely Available
The Center for ADHD offers specialty services that are difficult to find elsewhere. Our program includes diagnosis and treatment for cognitive disengagement syndrome (CDS), and our clinic is the only program in the world that provides both diagnosis and treatment for this condition.
We also provide specialized parent and adolescent programs that teach practical skills families can use every day at home and school, including learning driving skills. These programs are developed and led by licensed clinicians who are ADHD specialists. These high standards for their training and continued education serve to protect families and ensure that they care they receive is ethical, evidence-based and driven by expertise.
Our clinicians bring together decades of experience working with families and children who have ADHD, and their stories are woven into the work we do. This personalized approach to treatment is evident in how families talk about the Center for ADHD, with exceptional patient ratings and outcomes, and more than 95% of families reporting significant benefit following engagement in our treatment services.
Expert ADHD Second Opinions
Families often seek additional guidance when ADHD symptoms are complex or treatment is not working as expected. Our specialists provide expert evaluations and treatment recommendations to help families better understand their options.
