About

Biography

I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), specializing in pediatric pelvic health, joint hypermobility, chronic pain and developmental physical therapy. I maintain close relationships with physicians in various departments, including physical medicine and rehabilitation, genetics, colorectal, gastroenterology, gynecology and urology. We problem-solve as a team when working with complex pelvic health or hypermobile patients.

Working in pediatrics is a lifelong dream, and I love the unique challenges and rewards of working with children. Early in my career, I found that many pediatric patients struggle with incontinence. I took my first pediatric pelvic health course in 2014 to help serve this population. I love a challenge and enjoy working with families with complex medical needs. I’ve seen children from all over the world, which is a benefit of working at one of the top pediatric hospitals in the nation.

Teaching my patients about how their bodies work in an age-appropriate way is important to me. I’ve found that the better a person understands how their body works, the faster they progress toward their goals.

I am one of our department’s developmental clinical trainers, guiding newly hired physical therapists through their competency training. In addition, I was the developer of our Pediatric Pelvic Health Competency Guidelines, and I train and consult with pelvic health therapists at Cincinnati Children’s. I am a site leader at the Green Township and Fairfield outpatient locations and strive to be a resource to the therapists at these locations.

I am honored to have received the Clinical Excellence Award (2022). I was nominated by peers based on my positive attitude, dedication and service excellence that contributed to an optimal experience for patients, families and members of the healthcare teams at Cincinnati Children’s.

When I am not working, I love spending time with my family and traveling. At work, I love when patients bring me new jokes, riddles or brain teasers to solve.
