As an occupational therapist, I provide services to treat a variety of conditions. Some treatments include hand therapy, upper extremity splinting and casting, constraint-induced movement therapy (CIMT), neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) and transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS). The conditions I treat include rheumatology, hypermobility/ Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), brachial plexus injury, cerebral palsy and tendon transfers. I also use compression therapy for lymphedema, burns and vascular malformations.
Children have such a resilient and fun spirit about them. I love connecting with them during therapy and hearing about their lives. They never cease to amaze me! I enjoy working with children of all ages. I especially love watching school-age children and teens return to sports or leisure activities following an injury. Getting to know the patients and families I work with is an honor and a privilege. I strive to respect each family, focusing on their strengths to guide their therapy process.
My husband and I are now in our empty-nest stage of life, having raised twin daughters. We enjoy traveling and love kayaking and anything that involves being on the water.
