About

Biography

I’m a registered dietician specializing in educating patients and families with endocrine disorders, especially diabetes. My areas of work include A7 for inpatients and E2 with outpatients.

My inspiration to work with diabetic patients is personal. I live with type 1 diabetes myself, so this population is very special to me. I was a patient at Cincinnati Children’s about 20 years ago and met a diabetes educator who impacted my life. This educator inspired me to become a diabetes educator to positively impact other kids living with and managing type 1 diabetes.

I strive to inspire this patient population and show them that just because they have type 1 diabetes, it does not have to stop them from achieving their goals and dreams. I want my patients and their families to know that I understand what they are going through and that I’m here to help them achieve their best outcomes.

Diabetes doesn’t stop me from traveling. I have visited 31 different countries and lived in four: the Czech Republic, Germany, England and the USA.
