I am a clinical fellow at the Heart Institute specializing in pediatric cardiology. I strive to provide evidence-based patient- and family-centered care. Congenital heart disease is complex, and it is my responsibility to ensure that patients and their families fully understand their diagnoses, so they are empowered to make informed decisions about their treatment.
I've always loved working with kids. I was drawn to pediatric cardiology by the challenge of understanding the complex disease processes in patients with unique congenital heart conditions, the collaborative nature of the field and the need for ongoing research to guide our treatment approaches. As a researcher, I focus on acute kidney injury in children with congenital heart disease and the use of non-invasive imaging techniques to improve patient management.
When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband and our dog, playing pickleball, cycling and trying new restaurants.
