About

Biography

I'm a clinical fellow specializing in pediatric hematology / oncology, hemangiomas and vascular malformations. It is an honor to be trusted with the care of your child. I learn something new from each of my patients and love to do anything I can to make the medical environment more welcoming.

When I was 7 years old, my older sister's leg started swelling, and it took years for doctors to figure out why. Eventually, she was diagnosed with primary lymphedema. My curiosity about her condition and desire to work with similar patients led me to the field of hematology / oncology.

I love working with children because they inherently know what is important in life, and it helps me see the bigger picture. My years of training have provided me with medical expertise, but parents and patients have invaluable knowledge about themselves. Together, we create a plan that fits each unique individual.

In addition to my clinical work, my research fellowship project in the Boscolo Lab is investigating the mechanism behind Kasabach-Merritt Phenomenon in Kaposiform hemangioendothelioma.

When I'm not working, I love taking my two English Cream Retrievers for walks, finding new restaurants with my husband and spending time with my family — including seven energetic nieces and nephews. In high school, I ran track and was a drum major in the marching band. While in college, I was a coxswain on the women's rowing team.
