About

Biography

I am an occupational therapist (OT), a member of the interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary feeding team, and a member of the Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI) / Low vision team. I also treat general developmental concerns. I strive to be patient- and family-centered, working to make a meaningful impact in my patients’ lives by helping them achieve the goals they create.

I have firsthand experience living with a learning and visual disorder. As a child, I received various therapy services, including feeding therapy. When choosing a career, I wanted to find one that inspired people to get back to what they love to do or helped them engage in meaningful occupations. What drew me to working with kids was their innate joy for life, love for the small things, and ability to be playful in whatever they choose.

First and foremost, a child's role in life is to play and have fun. I try to bring creativity, joy, magic and silliness to every session so a child may not even realize they are working on challenging tasks. My goal is for families and children not to need me and to be able to fully participate in their daily lives within their homes, schools and communities.

As a member of the interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary feeding team, I specialize in evaluating and treating feeding, eating and swallowing disorders. Our team works with families to help their children cope with complex feeding problems by providing a coordinated evaluation and management plan from various medical specialists. As an OT, I assist by giving sensory strategies, position support and behavioral modifications to help children engage in mealtime routines, oral motor skills and increased variety of oral intake.

I also specialize in vision therapy for complex visual disorders such as CVI. I provide an evaluation in support of the ophthalmologist’s request and consultative and ongoing therapy to suggest how children can better use interventions to strengthen their vision.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, exploring every area of Cincinnati and finding the best food scene around. I love cooking and trying new recipes. I also love to travel, and I try to find a new place to visit any chance I get. Finally, we foster dogs for the cutest small dog rescue, Ohio Fuzzy Pawz.
