About

Biography

As a registered dietitian, I have primarily worked in pediatrics in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. I am currently the Senior Director of Nutrition Therapy at Cincinnati Children's, where I manage the Nutrition Therapy Department. Our department includes registered dietitians, registered diet technicians, lactation consultants, and our Human Milk and Formula Center.

I originally had planned to major in graphic design in college. Then I took a nutrition course as an elective and enjoyed it so much I quickly changed my major. I like the science behind nutrition and learning about how our body uses nutrition as fuel. I was honored to be appointed Advisor to the Pediatric Nutrition Practice Group for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
When I became a registered dietitian in the pediatric setting, I followed families closely and saw how improving their children's nutrition impacted their quality of life. This was very rewarding. I also enjoy working with an amazing team of highly qualified professionals who take great pride in what they do.

I believe in meeting families where they are and setting realistic goals so they can be successful. I want our families to take part in developing a plan that will work in the home setting. Our goals in nutrition therapy are to promote overall growth and well-being in our patients and support them to reach their full potential.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two kids, hiking, traveling and reading.
