My clinical specialties are cardiac intensive care, pediatric cardiology and critical care medicine. I enjoy working with children, and I find myself drawn to them, especially in their time of greatest need when they are critically ill.
I focus my research on cardiac intensive care and database research. I aim to provide and improve evidence-based care recommendations to produce the best outcomes possible. In this niche medical specialty, larger databases allow collaboration and more significant numbers to look for changes in care. I’m most interested in understanding how we can improve care for children and young adults with congenital and acquired heart disease who become critically ill.
