As a nurse practitioner in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), I care deeply about empowering families. Our Level 3 NICU is an excellent choice for both anticipated and unexpected challenges for a baby at birth. I work hard to help families through the transitions of caring for their baby — through whatever challenges that presents.
My family cared for my brain-injured brother for many years in our home, which inspired a nurturing and also skilled approach to caring for the vulnerable. My immigrant parents inspired me to be the "master of my craft" through hard work, education, excellence and pride in the work of my life.
My patients’ families may be interested to know that I dance a pretty good polka!
