As a pediatric otolaryngologist, I practice general otolaryngology with a specific interest in pediatric obstructive sleep apnea and airway disorders. My clinical research also focuses on complex obstructive sleep apnea and pediatric airway stenosis.
In medical school, I became fascinated with the anatomy and physiology of the head and neck. I was drawn to otolaryngology by the diversity of the specialty (ear, nose, throat, head/neck) and the ability to significantly impact human health and quality of life with innovative medical and surgical techniques. Out of all the patient populations, I especially enjoy working with children and their families.
I believe caring for children is a team effort, and I strive to involve the family and specialists in decisions that benefit the child as a whole. Although the practice of medicine has come a long way, I believe that all doctors should be lifelong learners and innovators. I strive to practice medicine based on the latest evidence, and I hope to contribute to the frontiers of otolaryngology with my research efforts.
As chief resident, I was awarded the Schain Schley Resident Teaching Award and currently love teaching medical students and residents on a daily basis. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband and son.
