My clinical specialty is pediatric critical care. My colleagues and I are here to help your child through the most critical and life-threatening circumstances. We continue to be their advocates as they start to get better and no longer need care in the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU). We are also there for families in the hardest of moments.
While in medical school, I was inspired by the children I cared for during my pediatric rotation and their ability to improve. I also enjoyed working with their families. I like a fast-paced, intense environment, so after my fourth-year rotation in the PICU, I knew it was the place for me.
In residency, I was given a Red Shoes award (nominated by a family) for providing good care to their daughter and for being calm and patient with them. I strive to do what is best for each patient, and sometimes, that looks different from one patient to another.
I’m also a researcher working in quality improvement and implementation science, and my goal is to improve the quality and efficiency of care delivered to each patient.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, exercising and watching Cincinnati sports. My husband and I grew up in Cincinnati and were thrilled by the opportunity to return from Indianapolis after being away for over ten years.
