I’m a pediatric ophthalmologist specializing in treating amblyopia, pediatric and adult strabismus, pediatric cataract and glaucoma, uveitis, retinopathy of prematurity, nystagmus, and congenital eyelid and nasolacrimal disorders. I treat my patients with respect and care while addressing their visual concerns. In addition, I work with a team of professionals to achieve the best treatment to meet patient needs.
Vision is one of the most important senses for a human. The pediatric population is particularly fragile because they do not recognize the difference between excellent and poor vision. Unfortunately, most pediatric ocular pathologies need to be treated at a young age to avoid future complications or sequelae. The impacted quality of life and education of visually impaired children drives my interest to intervene and provide the best treatment option possible. Therefore, I aim to make a difference in the natural outcome of ocular conditions by offering timely visual care to minimize visual impairment.
I am honored to have been awarded a Compassionate Doctor Recognition during my residency. I understand that our patients need more than a prescriber. They need a trustworthy physician who can understand how their ocular condition affects their lives.
Through my research, I want to gain a better understanding of visual pathways and visual function development. When I’m not at work, I love exploring the outdoors, spending quality time with my family and four rescued cats and practicing yoga.
