I am a pediatric critical care physician with a particular focus on cardiac critical care. I care for children with complex congenital and acquired heart disease who require intensive monitoring and support. From early on in medical school, working with children brought me joy, and pediatrics felt like the right fit. Critical care truly captured my attention during residency, and I was sold on this path the first time I watched a critically ill child recover and return home to their family. That experience showed me the impact we can have, and it continues to inspire my work every day.
I believe families deserve to understand what's happening with their child's care, not just be told what's happening. I make it a priority to explain complex medical information in clear, accessible language, so parents feel empowered and informed. As a Spanish speaker, I am committed to bridging communication gaps for Spanish-speaking families, ensuring that language is never a barrier to understanding or connecting with their care team.
Outside the hospital, I enjoy spending time with friends, trying new cuisines and exploring Cincinnati by bike.
