My clinical specialty is adult nephrology, where I assist those with kidney problems. My care philosophy is patient-centered, and I use a team approach that includes patients, families and other providers. I want patients to have the best care possible and to know they are heard.
I was initially drawn to the medical field to help others. Fortunately, I found my passion in nephrology, which significantly overlaps many other areas. Specifically, what draws me to treat kidney disease, especially tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC), is that some of my family members have this genetic condition.
It was my honor to be named Attending of the Year. While practicing internal medicine, I was able to help teach residents—making a meaningful impact at a broader level in training the next generation of practitioners.
I’m a big sports fan, from American football to track and field to martial arts and more!
