My journey into physical therapy began with my background in athletics, particularly soccer. Throughout my playing career, I experienced various injuries and had the privilege of working with some fantastic physical therapists who not only helped me get back on the field but also inspired me to pursue a career in PT. They always advocated for my well-being and pushed me to be the best I could be, both on and off the field. The combination of science with athletics, along with the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients, made physical therapy the perfect fit for me.
My patients receive individualized care that focuses on their personal goals. I aim to make sessions interactive, engaging and fun, ensuring that every patient feels supported and motivated throughout their treatment. The energy and resilience of kids drew me to work specifically with pediatric patients. I believe that working with children not only helps with their current condition but also develops lifelong skills such as self-advocacy, communication and general wellness and fitness habits.
Outside of work, I love staying active by playing soccer, running and doing Pilates. I also enjoy reading, hanging out with friends and watching sporting events, especially Duke basketball.
