About

Biography

My clinical specialty is mental health counseling. I’m an eclectic therapist who uses aspects of client-centered approaches, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and trauma-based interventions to assist in symptom reduction. I’m also a certified trauma therapist and have training in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).

Growing up, I saw family members struggle with depression and family distress. I became a counselor to make a difference in children’s lives and to provide better outcomes for their futures. My philosophy is to continually build a relationship based on trust before diving into therapy. Without trust, there is no progress.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with family, working on my physical and mental health and reading psychological thrillers.
