I am a pediatric plastic surgeon who specializes in cleft and craniofacial surgery.
Plastic surgeons treat patients from head to toe, which requires a deep understanding of anatomy and advanced surgical skill. All tissue needs to be treated with delicate precision for optimal surgical outcomes.
Because no case or surgical treatment is the same in plastic surgery, I provide a unique and custom approach to every patient I treat. Regardless of the condition’s severity, each patient gets my all. Understandably, any surgery can be quite stressful for patients and their loved ones, and I want you to know that I treat all of my patients like they are members of my own family.
I am inspired by the potential to make a positive difference in a patient’s life at an early age. It’s rewarding to form lasting relationships with my patients and their families and to watch them overcome adversity for years to come.
Outside of my practice, I enjoy nearly all sports. I even played soccer in the Netherlands when I was younger. I also like playing classical piano and have a passion for creating medical devices with universal reach for all—including the animal world.
