Seeking help is an anxiety-provoking process, and I aim to be open and nonjudgmental, understanding that we all have strengths and weaknesses.

About

Biography

I am a child psychologist working with children from preschool age through adolescence who struggle with behavioral issues such as anxiety, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and emotional regulation problems. I also specialize in children with obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma-related struggles and attachment problems — offering parent training for these behavioral struggles as well. Finally, I complete psychological evaluations and testing for various intellectual, social and emotional concerns.

Thoughts and emotions have always fascinated me, and I have always been inspired by people who help make a difference in society. While I was also interested in medicine as a whole, what drew me to psychology was a belief that we all struggle with emotions at times. We all experience loss, sadness, anxiety and frustration. The earlier we learn to manage those struggles and support one another, the more positive our future can be.

I work predominantly with children and families, teaching cognitive behavioral techniques (CBT) and other evidence-based treatments for all these conditions. I strive to build trusting relationships with empathy while improving on interpersonal skills. I believe all these skills can be learned and enhanced over time.

Open communication and collaboration with families and children are of the utmost importance and something I always strive for. Seeking help is an anxiety-provoking process, and I aim to be open and nonjudgmental, understanding that we all have strengths and weaknesses.

When I'm not at work, I spend most of my time with my wife and children. I enjoy outdoor activities, sports and games. I am a superhero and comic book fan, and I have played music since I was a teenager.
