Kristina Sketch, APRN, CNP

I’m an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) in Emergency Medicine at Cincinnati Children’s. I follow family-centered care and strive to include the patients and families in the decisions and care plans.

As a former patient at Cincinnati Children’s, I was inspired by the nurses and other providers who cared for me. I started as a patient-care assistant in 2007 and knew then that I wanted to develop my career in pediatrics as a nurse and ultimately as a nurse practitioner.

In emergency medicine, the entire team works together to ensure every child is safe and receives the best care possible. In my practice, I want my patients and families to understand the diagnoses and treatment plans and how to care for their child.

Outside of work, I enjoy the outdoors and traveling. My husband and I have traveled to South Africa, Italy, France, Mexico, Peru and Argentina. I’ve also traveled to Madagascar three times for medical mission trips. We like trying new local foods around Cincinnati as well as attending Reds and Bengals games.
