About

Biography

I am a pediatric cardiology nurse practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, family-centered care for children, adolescents, and young adults. My clinical focuses and specialties within the Heart Institute include chest pain, palpitations, syncope, dysautonomia, dizziness, and preventive cardiology, which includes preventing acquired heart disease from conditions such as dyslipidemia, hypertension, and other inheritable and lifestyle-acquired conditions. My prior clinical experience spans pediatric intensive care, pediatric cardiac acute care, solid organ transplantation, and family medicine, giving me a broad perspective in caring for children and families with a variety of conditions and acuities.

I enjoy partnering closely with patients and families to help them understand symptoms, testing, and diagnoses in a clear and reassuring way. My goal is to ensure that each family feels informed, supported, and confident in the care plan we develop together. I place a strong emphasis on education, preventive care, and early intervention to promote long-term cardiovascular health. I also want to ensure every patient feels heard and validated in their symptoms and experience, as we work together to get to the root cause of symptoms and find a solution that works best for each individual patient, as there is no “one size fits all” approach to healthcare.

My approach blends evidence-based practice with thoughtful communication and shared decision-making. I work collaboratively with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive and individualized care tailored to each patient’s needs. I feel tremendously blessed every day to get to work alongside my team and with the patients who are my motivation and inspiration.

Outside of clinical practice, I enjoy spending time with my husband, young son and pug. My hobbies include cooking, baking sourdough from scratch, cycling, and learning more about Kentucky as a Chicagoland native.
