About

Biography

I’m a clinical fellow specializing in pediatric emergency medicine. Throughout my medical training, I have felt a natural connection with my pediatric patients, making it easy to build a therapeutic relationship with the patients and their caregivers. In particular, I enjoy addressing and alleviating the anxiety that caregivers feel when their child comes down with a new acute illness.

As pediatric care becomes more specialized and complex, emergency medicine trainees have different opportunities to learn critical skills and procedures than other medical and surgical trainees. As the specialty evolves, how we teach high-risk/low-frequency conditions and procedures will continue to be a critical focus of pediatric training to ensure the highest care for our pediatric patients.

I enjoy working on projects in graduate medical education and simulation. During medical school and residency, I had the opportunity to lead projects focused on teaching trainees and caregivers about pediatric care. I find it interesting to develop new ways to train future pediatric providers, and my research aims to address the upcoming changes in the field.
