About

Biography

I am a pediatric cardiac intensive care unit (ICU) dietitian at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital with extensive prior training experience as a lactation consultant. My approach to care is holistic and customized, using evidence-based practice principles to develop SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, time-bound) goals in order to achieve the best possible clinical outcomes for patients.

My interest in this work stems from my ability to influence and make a difference in the beginning of new lives since I started my public health internship at the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC). I am filled with a sense of fulfillment and achievement, knowing the family can rely on me as I involve the entire family in developing a care plan for their little one.

I am a passionate advocate for breastfeeding, nationally and globally. I am among China's first 1000 International Board-Certified Lactation Consultants. With a rigorous background in nutrition education from both the United States and China, I was tasked with providing revision suggestions for English and simplified Chinese versions of the patient booklets for the “Ready, Set, Baby” prenatal online education session (hosted by the Carolina Global Breastfeeding Institute) after graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

During my free time, I enjoy cooking, jogging, hiking and meeting new people.

MPH/RD: University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, 2021.

Certifications: Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, 2021; International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, 2023.
