I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) specializing in pediatric orthopedics, pectus excavatum and total pancreatectomy with islet cell autotransplantation (TPIAT). I also have additional training in the effects of breathing on postural control. I look forward to getting to know each patient and family to learn about their goals for therapy. I make therapy a fun and welcoming environment while providing patients with challenges to help them meet their goals.
My interest in this work stems from attending physical therapy (PT) as a young athlete. I was drawn to the problem-solving aspect of physical therapy and the opportunity to help patients reach their goals. I enjoy working at Cincinnati Children’s because of the diverse and unique population we see. I also love learning about the new and innovative procedures that surgeons are performing.
I’m also a researcher. Little to no research exists on outpatient postoperative physical therapy following a Nuss repair. At Cincinnati Children’s, we view outpatient PT as a standard of care for patients after Nuss repair, and we seek to learn more about patients' PT experiences and the updated post-operative activity restrictions.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy exploring new restaurants, coffee shops and parks with my husband and daughter. We often are at the dog park with our English Crème Golden Retriever. I also love to read.
