Matthew Tran, MD

I am a pediatric cardiologist at Cincinnati Children’s, dedicated to caring for children with congenital and acquired heart disease. My clinical interests include pediatric echocardiography, and I enjoy using cardiac imaging to help diagnose heart conditions and guide each child’s care. One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is the opportunity to care for children throughout their lives and develop meaningful, lasting relationships with them and their families.  
 
I believe the best care comes from listening to families, understanding what matters most to them, and partnering with them to make decisions that are right for their child. I feel privileged to work alongside an exceptional team committed to providing compassionate, thoughtful and patient-centered care. Children’s resilience and optimism inspire me every day. Even during challenging times, they have an incredible ability to find joy in the little things. Seeing a smile on a child’s face can go a long way, and I feel fortunate to be part of a specialty where I can make a difference not only in a child’s health, but also in their overall experience and quality of life.  
 
Outside of the hospital, I enjoy playing soccer, golfing, running and spending time with friends and family.
